RPR in 6.5 Availability

I would like some thoughts on what y'all have seen in gun shops and even the Bass Pro type places for the Ruger Precision in 6.5 Creedmore. A friend of mine has been deciding on a precision rifle for over a year, and now that he has settled on this he is having trouble finding it. We are pretty much right in the middle of Georgia. Cabela's says a week before it comes in, but they really do not seem to know. A local gun shop near by says 5-7 days, but they say that may not hold true with this particular rifle.

Any thoughts? or have these been seen on the shelves recently?

Call Howard's Pawn and ask for Matt. I think I saw two Ruger Precision rifles on the counter day before yesterday. I know they have an M1A in 6.5.

On the shelves everywhere in metro Atlanta. Have him look online as well. He's waited over a year, what's another week if it saves him some money?

I’ve seen them in several shops recently, just not in your area. Dixie Ammo Dump and TruPrep spring to mind.
