Rubber Boots?

I got the tall rubber slip on LaCrosse, got them in 1993 and still good for what little I use them
very hard to get off without using a step on boot puller offer

If you have a trailer hitch on your truck, stick the heel of your boot between the trailer ball and the arm of the hitch, then pull your foot out. Just hang on to the truck so you don’t fall over when your foot pops out.

Man I used to love the steel shank rubber boots with the thick felt removeable inserts .
As kids in deep snow winters in western PA they were the only boots that would keep your feet warm and they were pretty indestructeabke.
Wonder if they still make them.

Biggest problem I have with rubber boots and hunting are the hydrocarbon smell when new.

Had Mucks for YEARS, always happy w/ them.
The uppers finally deteriorated and fell apart.
my local feedstore couldn't get Mucks. so they ordered BOGS,
been 2 1/2 years so far and very impressed w/ them.
They are my all-around outdoor boot.

LaCrosse Alpha knee high snake boots. No longer waterproof due to a couple of crack forming; but after about 10 seasons I guess that is expected. Just make sure you have a boot remover if you wear these. More concerned about snakes where we hunt.

Muck got bought out and every since then there seems to be a lot of complaints about the quality of their products
I don’t know I guess I might still get a pair
I think there was a thread on this same topic 2-3 years ago. I read a similar comment regarding Muck boots back then. I instead bought Dryshod boots on someone’s recommendation (started by founder of Muck Boots). They’ve worked well for me in the dozen or so trips I’ve worn them.

Rocky with side zipper. Had them for about 4yrs now. Had the non-zippered ones previously but pulled my hammy trying to take them off one season, lol. Zippered is great!

I tried, literally, every rubber boot that has a website. I even had a pair sent over from Europe. I sent every one back except Bogs. They look like any Muck, etc. but they're built differently.
