Rude people piss me off

You handled it well-

I remember once a highly upset "lady" yelled at me out of her car window... and then proceeded to get out of her car and yell some more. All because I had the audacity to slow down to turn into my driveway- I guess I made her slow down from the well-over-the-speed-limit drive.

I never said a word to her- I wasn't about to get into a yelling match with someone that was so well prepared for such a confrontation. She suddenly changed her attitude and left after seeing me not respond- I have to assume she got the picture.

Guys I know I was right to bless the man and stay in the car. Having been on the recieving end of law enforcement pepper spray on 3, yes 3, occasions I can assure you it is not any fun at all, in retrospect I suppose putting the first LEO in a wrist lock was not the best choice. That said it was effective, temporarily of course as I came to my senses, so to speak. I would much rather take a good old fashioned ass whoopin than be sprayed with that shiat. I just needed to vent my frustration at an arrogant prick who was in desperate need of a proper attitude adjustment.

You handled your situation perfect, as long as you and the family were able to escape unharmed I see no other way you could've done better. Props to you for keeping a level head and being the bigger man.

About 2 years ago I found myself in an unfortunate situation in an Ingles parking lot, I frequent this location. One night a group of rowdy punks were in the parking lot cussing, hollering, and carrying on in front of other families that were trying to load their groceries. The families also had their children with them (2-7yrs old). It really got under my skin but I was able to walk away and proceed into the store without saying anything. Well one of the punks started kicking other people's cars and caught my attention as I was about to walk into the store. All I could think was please God don't let them hit mine, I had already had enough at this point. Well just a few seconds later I see him slam his fist down on the hood of my fiancés Tahoe and then flipped me the bird whenever I turned to look at him. I pulled a 180 and headed straight for him and in a stern and clear voice I "politely" asked him if he had done just what I thought he did. He said f*** you man, I will do whatever I want and flip off whoever I want, and that was all it took. I knew where the situation was headed and fast. The poor guy never had a chance, I knocked him clean out of his Nikes and threw him across the hood of his car where he slept like a baby. Meanwhile the only thing his buddies had to say to me was "please don't kill him". There was a guy sitting in his van eating lunch who saw everything. The fellow got out of his van and walked over to shake my hand and thanked me for the good deed I had just done. He was finishing up his lunch and had been watching them act fools the entire time. The thing that pissed me off most was I had to leave right then and drive across town to do my grocery shopping because I didn't want my fiancés Tahoe being keyed or tires slashed.

This is,in my opinion the result of a lack of parenting plain and simple. We have fallen as a society in large part because parents do not or cannot discipline their children without fear of Government intervention.
This is not always the answer of course there is no one perfect answer or solution, however in my opinion it plays a very large role in our current situation. Kudos for taking out the trash when it was time.
