Good Morning,
I was hoping to solicit some recommendations or feedback/experiences on an optic for my 10/22 Charger (8" Bbl) - See pic above.
I tossed on a romeo5 because it's what I had on hand, but the primary purpose of the gun is to commit genocide against the chipmunk population in my yard. I'm usually using CCI CB's or CCI Quiet Segmented HPs to be considerate of my neighbors and for safety purposes (I don't want to use full power .22's). Most of my shots are taken under 50 feet, and some out to 75 feet or so. I take the occasional hail-mary shot at 100 feet when taunted by the little bastards.
The red dot doesn't exactly lend itself well to precision.
I'm looking at a Sig Juliet 3x or 4x magnifier, or a Vortex Diamondback 2-7x35 scope. Any opinions on which I should go with? Are there any other decent options?
Most of my experience with rifle scopes is at 100-600 yards with much larger calibers. Is there any valid concern about parallax at the close ranges I'd be using it at?
Thank you for your input.
