Wanting to buy a Ruger 96/17 HMR in "Very Good" condition. If you have one sitting around or know someone who does and would like to get rid of it please contact me. I am willing to pay 2015 book value for the gun, I have seen a couple on other sites but they are asking more than twice the book value...which is why they are still for sale.
Thanks in advance,
Dave 678-492-2299

What is the 2015 book value?
Was trying to load snapshot of page in book but can't figure out how to load it, I need to get my 8 year old! lol
What the 2015 book says though is Ruger 96/17 HMR;
NIB $450
Exc $350
VG $250
Good $200
Fair $150
Poor $125

The 5 that I have seen are ASKING between $600-$800, guess thats why they are still for sale? We all think that the gun we are selling is rare and the best condition your going to find anywhere.

Do not know how to look up bonifide sales but that is good to know. Rugers are cheap (to purchase generally speaking) but I guess these are demanding more. You know what they say: a gun is worth what someone is willing to pay

Sorry, but I don't think you'll actually find those prices out in the wild. They are pretty rare guns and it seems like everyone who has one of the 17 HMRs is looking to retire off of it no matter what the condition.

That being said, in 2015 Gunbroker shows a NIB one being sold for $795, and a nice-looking used gun for $580 or so. If you really want one I would just pony-up the $ there and call it a day. It may take a while for a good one to come up, but a national site will give you a better chance to one at a (for now) reasonable price.
