You know the 44 magnum has to be right around the corner
Cylinder wall thickness is too thin for 44 magnum pressure in the gp 100. They already have the red hawk in a 2-3/4" barrel 44 mag. It's called the back packer. Check it out
But the GP100 .44 is a five shot, not six like a .357...wouldn't that allow for thicker dimensions?
A .41 Magnum should be possible on the GP100 frame. Hamilton Bowen rechambers Ruger Blackhawk .357 Magnums into 6-shot .41 Magnums that are rated for full loads. I’m fixing to send a 3-screw RBH .357 for this conversion.
Why, ruger already makes a 41 mag on the same blackhawk frame. Again the 41 mag cylinder is larger
Briefly had a NMBH in .41 mag. Most difficult to handle recoil I've ever shot. But for some reason shot it a lot more accurately than other guns.Because it’s an old 3-screw, I don’t want a newer model. Plus, I want one built by Hamilton Bowen.

Good reason, post up some pic when you get it. What length barrel are you going to get?Because it’s an old 3-screw, I don’t want a newer model. Plus, I want one built by Hamilton Bowen.
