This is a follow up to my other thread on discrete carry for work.

I have decided to go with rear pocket carry in a wallet holster, or on occasion a Kangaroo Carry or similar.

I have pretty much narrowed my choices to a Ruger LCP or S&W BodyGuard 380. Fondling them at my local shop, the grip on the S&W felt better to me. I have friends with either one, and will borrow and shoot both before buying. Fondling them at my local shop, the grip on the S&W felt better to me.

If you have owned for shot both, which do you prefer?

Any issues with either that I need to be aware of?

I have a gen 2 lcp for rear pocket carry when i can't take a glock. I have handled the bodyguard and it looks to be a fine gun, but a .380 is not a range gun, so i prefer the thinner lcp in a recluse wallet holster. It feels like a wallet. If you get an lcp, get the gen 2 made after the first quarter of 2013. The original lcp's trigger and sights suxs.

I've owned both, and I still own the LCP (if that tells you anything). :)

The S&W is a very quality built firearm, the laser is kind of a gimmick IMO (it might help with target practice, kinda fun to fool with, but has ZERO real world use). The deal breaker is the S&W Bodyguard has ***THE WORST*** trigger of ANY gun I've ever shot, and I've shot a mess of them.

IMO, buy a Gen 2 LCP and don't look back.

Love my gen II LCP.

Goes erry where I go.

I think they're a bit cheaper than the Bodyguard, too.

I have a bodyguard. Trigger is far from the best. I wouldn't mind having the new one without the laser.

LCP just based on caliber- sorry, I have not shot both of them, so all I can say is which caliber I'd rather carry. But at the same time, I wouldn't want to get shot with either of them.
