Ruger precision Rifles

I've seen a lot of posts on here for the ruger precision rifles. I may be wrong and get sarcastically slapped again for TRYING to help and I say trying because I have little background with guns and some let it fly on me last time. There are three calibers of Ruger precision rifles at Adventure Outdoors and their everyday cash price is $939.00 , Their credit price is $969. This is of course without any glass and there is a wait period as they have to order them for you from Ruger. I have the info confirmed in an email from Adventure... Thanks.. Mods---I think this post is clean but if it is going to get me in trouble let me know and I will change whatever you like right away. I don't want to cross any lines and get in trouble!!
Sorry to hear you lost your son. God Bless you and your family. Please keep posting. There're plenty of us that are enjoying the great steals and deals that our brilliant members find. We can't find them all by ourselves.

Some guys do really well with factory hornady 6.5 ammo. The benefit of the RPR is mag system. 20 Rd pmags or m1a or aics. Accepts AR butstocks. Barrel nuts system similar to savage. It's really hard to beat for the money. Accuracy is on parts with rem, savage and tikka. Don't feed the trolls that complain a gun won't shoot milsurp ammo sub moa.

I am also interested in these rifles, and am wondering what else you could buy that would shoot 2 MOA at 600 yards, out of the box. I am not being a smartazz, but am just curious to know. I don't want to shoot competition, but would like to be able to shoot coyotes from a box stand out to about 600 yards.

The Ruger in 6.5 is accurate out of the box. I'm sure the 308 is to. There are many factors in accuracy. A good starting point is factory match ammo. Not just one match ammo is enough. Different ammo match ammo will set different projectiles/seating depths/powder charges/primers, all of which come into play in different rifles. If u are not reloading ur ammo for each gun then spend a few bucks and find out what factory match stuff works best for ur rifle.

Check the GA Gun Store periodically also. $932. They've kept their prices consistent since they came out. Like everyone else, they arent always in stock, but when they are, you get a very fair price. I got one from them last Oct for $899
