They were the same action and barrel usually just cheaper hardwood stocks. They were considered Marlin's budget line.I always thought they were just rebranded Marlins.

I'm glad to see one revived that ain't being whored out on Chinese or Turkish guns. Like Winchester, H&R etc. That’s cool, glad to see an old name revived.
How they gonna reintroduce Glenfield with no KMarts to sell them in?Glenfield was a cheaper version of the Marlin line, cheaper wood finish not as nice and MORE affordable for us poors
LOL, I miss the Kmart blue light special..How they gonna reintroduce Glenfield with no KMarts to sell them in?
I used to have to get on the intercom and do the Blue Light Special. I worked at the south Macon store in sporting goods/automotive in 87. My Mom cashiered at the same store in highschool in 67.LOL, I miss the Kmart blue light special..

I have an H&R Pardner pump 12 gauge and I like it fine. But there ain't nothing H&R about it other than the name engraved on the barrel. The rest is just a Chinese 870 knockoff. Don't get me wrong. I do like it as far as budget shotguns go. But they didn't have to bastardize an old name to sell cheap shotguns. No ****!. Winchester is a shell of its old self. All overseas junk (and not the good kind).

Gen1 Ruger American with a new name? Man the firearms market is stale right now.
