223/556 spiked to close to $1/round post Sandy Hook. It is now back in the 30 cent range. 762 x 39 will spike if the supply is diminished. Human nature is to do the opposite of what is smart. Now is the time to buy 223/556, not something in short supply. You see the same behavior in the stock market. I'm not immune, but it's illogical.

If the buying spree keeps up on x39, it'll snowball into the other calibers. Everything will go up again eventually.

Why do you think people started buying up .22lr during the panic? Cause all the stores were running out of .223/5.56, x39, 9's, 40's & 45's so they just bought whatever was on the shelf.

I doubt the suppliers would dispel this rumor to him, distributors are probably making tons off the perceived crisis.
