I just saw this on S&W website.
It must be a fairly new offering.
What is your take on it?

Finally!!!! I've only sent their marketing department 10 requests minimum for this gun and and a S&W AR-22M. This is a good start!!

Honest Outlaw did a video review, multiple issues with failure to go into battery. Ran 350 rounds through it, accurate, good trigger, but not reliable.

He did like the Walther 22 mag.

I haven't seen that video. Often a new gun that fails to go into battery is a matter of getting broken in and a good cleaning and oiling. Time will tell.

What a 22mag needs is ammo designed for optimal performance out of a short pistol barrel instead of an 18" rifle.

22 mag ammo is about 33 cents per round. Not cheap for a rimfire.
Occasionally 5.7 can be had for about 66 cents per round.

Sounds a bit ballsy for the Smith folks.

New product announcement was yesterday if I am not mistaken. My thoughts: kind of pricey, ammo is expensive and not really sure what role it would fill.

The Keltec WAS A PAIN. I guess there is a market somewhere.

Mine hasn't had a failure if any type. I did get it from a guy on here who replaced the barrel with a compensated barrel and this guy ain't cheap. I'm pretty sure he lost a little on our deal.
