S&W Shield LE Military Active Retired Discount $318

Idk if it's the same or not. This is the first "discount" price I have seen from SW. Unlike Sig and Glock who always run discount prices. I'm wondering if this discount is from the dealer and not directly from SW

Either way I am happy to see that other one personally. I tried buying a glock with their discount shortly after getting out while I was fighting with the VA to get my benefits, and wasn't making much money. Was denied and got pretty upset over the whole situation which I guess left a bitter taste in my mouth. So seeing any offering such as this always makes me smile a bit, even if I personally am not in the market. This one actually makes more sense considering the actual name of the gun. To place such a name on an item, you would think there was an automatic association with some sort of savings for those in military or law enforcement of any level.

I just emailed S&W asking them to expand the offer to honorably discharged vets from all conflicts. I will post their reply as soon as I receive it.

I do not know if the offer being discussed in this thread on a very popular outdoor site in Georgia is being offered by S&W or if this is an offer from one of your distributors. I am not a vet, retired or otherwise, but I do own several fine S&W firearms and felt compelled to share this with you. Please read the posts in this thread and consider including honorably discharged veterans from all conflicts in your offer. Again, I am not a vet so this will not apply to me either way, I just do not like see a company, S&W, that I support receiving so much negative publicity when it can be easily corrected.

I realize some of are disappointed that this promo didn't include honorably discharged veterans but it's S&W's promo. The dealer is a veteran himself and has guidelines to follow put forth by the manufacturer. I'm checking to see if medically retired military is included in this promo.

Every promo will exclude someone from it. Promos are marketing tools. It ultimately benefits the manufacturer by building a stronger customer base among other things. I can tell for certain the dealer makes jack on these promos and they can be nightmares.

Having said all that, a promo doesn't take away what service and sacrifice you have made which I truly appreciate. But I also understand your frustration.
