S0 You Want to Own a Gun Shop and Range....
Been around the business for a long time, not fun..... tons of headache, some bloodier then others.
No thanks. I'd shoot up all my profits, and I'd have to deal with gun forum guys constantly saying what a dumb gun shop owner I was. 
I would love it. Working the gun shows for a little bit now you do get a lot of ODT style tirekickers but I still don't think I'll ever get tired of talking about guns.
I feel so bad for what some of the guys at my favorite local gun shops have to deal with .... I totally understand why some gun shop guys have a reputation for being assholes. If I had to spend all day talking to mall ninja know-it-alls I would end up having an aneurysm and dropping right there after a while.
Money pit
I used to help a friend of mine that owns a range when I had the time and that's one business that I wouldn't want to be in. There is no money in new guns without pumping them out at a high rate, the money has ran out of ammo too. Any business man looking at the ROI would stay away from a gun store. The range side of the business is just as tough. The number of people that have no idea what they're doing is staggering. My first thoughts were "all the more chances to sell classes, right?" Nope, too many people watch Youtube and know it all already. People don't understand that when you're pointing a loaded firearm the wrong direction there is no time to be extremely polite, so there goes the first impression and you're a a-hole for life on the internet without giving the full story.
I'm not a fan of this place because of the high prices and low interest in me when I've walked in (A smile and hello goes a long way, but never got either.......never).
