I never or would I ever sell any of my guns to a pawnshop.
Last resort for sure.
I have sold a lot of guns on this site and haven’t been disappointed!
My $.02 cents worth.

Also sold guns on Gunsinternational and been successful.
Im with you. I'd dump it to a buddy before I'd take something to a pawnshop. Pawnshops steal with a license then **** with no lube.

S Sig239 brother your weapon is overpriced in the market, its buyers market right now. Most people don't have spare cash laying around and those that do are not paying within 25% of retail on a used gun. Being new, that far out, low demand gun on the higher side of pricing and wanting someone to let you take their info on a person to person transaction, you'll have this longer than I've been trying to sell my M4A1.

Want to sell it. Drop the price to $500 and word you ad to either just a glance at a permit, or require a ffl transfer wherever you will meet.

If that is to much to ask, atleast find a gun shop dump it on, not a pawnshop. GLWS.

Buncha ****ers wanta cell their used guns at @ least 100 bucks over new price too.. hence I’m talking bout a DERYA DH9 for 300 obo .. that’s a new gun priced at around 250
Not to be that guy, but that's only fiddy over new price. Deal of the day.

I don't understand the angst against a seller having some assurance that the buyer is not a criminal and proof someone bought their weapon. If I was a buyer with a choice between a BoS or FFL, I would think the BoS would be less intrusive since the government is not involved. Sure a dark alley and no names would be great for the buyer, but that could easily screw over a seller.

I am headed to both a local gun shop and pawn shop in the morning. Either way, some retail place is going to end up marking it up for a huge profit.

Looking at a permit should somewhat suffice. They don't run background checks on folks with permits. But it's your gun. But....if a buyer wanted a copy of the receipt and your driver's license to show where it came from, would you go for it?

Huge profit, I don't think so. They'll probably offer you $250-300 on it and put it out for $600 and end up taking $500. It's not a popular gun.

I wouldn't want someone having my DL but the carry license number can't be used to obtain credit etc.

I am sure the weapon SN can be tracked back to me from the original sale. When this weapon ends up used in a crime in 10 years by a third or fourth owner, it will be better to have a BoS or FFL transfer proving I haven't owned it in a long time.

People tend to forget that a high markup in a pawn shop doesn't necessarily mean a large profit for the shop. Part of that markup has to go toward business expenses rather than the gun itself. Rent, business license, insurance, store maintenance, utilities, salaries, shop lifting losses, and a myriad of other expenses all reduce the profit margin for a commercial business.

I think you are wasting your time with a BOS unless you get it notarized…
