SCCY 9mm

Has she tried one?
I rented an SCCY, a S&W Shield, and a Ruger SR9-C all the same day at the range.
I disliked the SCCY strongly.
Long hard trigger that stacks at the end.
Big grip frame-- felt like it was made to hold .357 Mag cartridges rather than short little 9 x 19 mm rounds. My trigger finger could barely reach the trigger to begin pulling it.

I liked both of the other guns, and the Taurus Millennium G2 (which is remarkably slim for a gun that uses a double-stack magazine holding 12 rounds.)

The SCCY is a solid gun. It shoots well, and is reliable.

But it has the ergonomics of a brick. If that happens to fit her hands, go for it. But I think that most people will find that the Taurus is a better feeling gun, it has adjustable sights, and at the same price, why settle for the SCCY?

That said, whichever one feels better in HER hand, will probably be the one that she shoots better with, and will enjoy more.

The G2 is likely the best handgun on the market at its price point. $226 with free shipping from Bud's. You can probably match that locally, too. I've had mine for a couple of years now. Never even a hiccup. If you buy used, make sure it's a G2. There was a massive recall on the earlier version. Links here & here.

Yeah, I see several dealers locally have the G2 and G2C in stock for $219-$229, depending on whether you want stainless or black slides...

The only difference between them are the new logo's.
