Scope for AR10

I've had most anything on one gun or another. Typically bolt guns. Have not taken the dive on a gen 3 razor or zco. Yet. Spent enough time behind a couple zco 527's and will grab one come bonus time.

The ones I mentioned are all considered to be best in class choices.
Not really looking to spend that much on a scope I'm just taking out to shoot for fun, which you knew that even though I said I don't mind spending the money on a decent scope. I could've googled expensive scopes and posted them but if you were being legit with your response then I appreciate it but I'm not looking to spend more than a grand on a scope I'm going to use every now and then.

Now we have a budget……….

Don't be vague and coy, refuse to post a budget, and then get snippy when someone posts some outstanding options.

The following are your words:

”Don't really have a price point…..”

“I don't really have a set budget so I'm willing to spend the money….”

For “fun shooting”, I run Nightforce ATACR’s and NX8’s, but both are way out of the budget you finally gave.

I'd go with a typical deer rifle scope:
3X to 9X variable power, 40 mm diameter front lens, and a 1 inch body tube.

Such as the Burris FullField II, which sells for 150 bucks at Optics Planet.

That's most versatile and useful for shooting out to a couple hundred yards.

Whatever just delete the thread it’s pointless to post anything someone’s always gotta be the comedian.

Why would I delete something when it can hopefully be used as an example?

No one is being a comedian. You were as vague as you could possibly be, didn’t give a budget when you were asked for one, and then got hurt at the first person that actually named specific optics.

If you had a specific budget of $1k, why did it take you two pages to finally spit it out? There’s a bunch of helpful, knowledgeable folks on this site, but you gotta let ‘em know what you’re looking for. You may as well ask for a “car”, say you wanna drive it to work and back, and not give a budget.

Why keep on about it, the only example that’s being made is that the moderators are a joke and like to stir the pot when not necessary. I get I didn’t list a price my bad that’s all you had to say but you’re carrying on about it like it’s some crazy big deal. Also like I stated if he was being serious with his suggestions I appreciate it. No further comments are needed I know what to ask for next time.

Then the example that I mentioned is working.

I‘m not “keeping on”. The proper term is “replying”.

Not sure how you figure it’s working you’re just being a dickhead which is apparently your thing.

I wanted to keep this post up as an example of HOW NOT TO ASK FOR ADVICE.

Your reply was “I know what to ask for next time.”

Therefore, the example is working.

Name calling is childish. Let’s not go there.

OP I guess it was just your luck that two of the most knowledgeable scope guys on the site replied pretty close to first. When looking for recommendations price is always a factor, sometimes the biggest, and to get a good recommendation, you gotta come out with it. Usage and price will get you the best options.

I still stand by Vortex. For plinkers and learning they are pretty hard to beat.
