For 100 max I say go with the sweet 22 by BSA for easy adjustment, for longer range the Mueller. I have a UTG(Thought it was broke but I had a case of the stupids) 4x16x40 what I use to stretch it out quite some distance.

Spend a little more and get a better scope. Try this ling to Sportsmans Guide: Only $17 bucks if your a member. I bought one of these myself.

I just bought a Savage Mark II trr-sr. I put a tasco on it temporarily with intentions of going Bushnell or Nikon later but I can't stop thinking about a bsa sweet 22. I had a sweet 17 on my savage 93 and was very happy with it.
You didn't seriously say a Barfska was better did you?
I had a beginner shooter with me hitting cans at 230 yards with my FVSR, but don't do it on a windy day.
