Scope Suggestions for 22LR

Thanks for the recommendations, picked up a BSA 3-9x32 Special from Bulls Eye in Lawrenceville today and it looks like it is going to do a great job.

You can't go wrong with any of the scopes listed above, but I personally love Simmons scopes. The .22 Mag in particular for your application.

Adjust the focus on your scope down to around 40yds. Most scopes are made for deer rifles and the focus is set for 100yds, making anything within 50yds get fuzzy and once ya go under 25 it is aweful. If you find that the scope you bought doesn't make the cut, ya might want to look at the Wally World Bushnells and Pineview scopes with adjustable objectives, this'll make it to where seting the focus is very quick and easy, expecially at higher powers on closer in targets. My squirrel rifle has a Simmons Aetec 3.8x12x40AO and it's usually set on 6x with the AO set at 25yds, this gives me good magnification and clear picture to hit the egg sized squirrels head up to 40yds, but setings can be pushed up or down as needed, quickly.

Just some things to think about if your rigging that Savage to be a squirrel eliminator.
