I'll never stop reminding people the bumpstock ban was NOT the ATF's doing. The ATF's position after the last Vegas shooting was that bumpstocks had already been ruled legal by them and they had no intention of changing their previous ruling on them.

Then their boss, POTUS, Donald J. Trump, quite publicly with a team of lawyers including Jeff Sessions ordered the ATF to "write out" bump stocks.

It was and always will be Trumps bumpstock ban. An unconstitutional attack on the American people. He weaponized the justice system against people who owned a piece of plastic. He weaponized the justice system to ruin a legitimate business.

Doesn't mean I can't still appreciate the good he did. Doesn't mean we can't vote for him in order to beat Biden.

It's just being honest with ourselves, the bumpstock ban is 100% trump, he actually believed the ATF wasn't doing enough to harass us and forced them to do more.
