Searching for things to buy

Hello, my name is John and I just joined earlier this evening and it seems that I’m having some trouble figuring out where I go if I wanted to just as a buyer search for either a handgun or gun parts or whatever it may be? It seems that there are classified and then maybe other ways to search for them? And also if I’m interested in the product, I tried to message them just now and I got a message from the administrators here saying that you’re not supposed to reply unless it’s to the person‘s actual email so I’m just confused altogether on the etiquette and what I need to be doing. I understand that I only get three listings, but I will not be listing much as I am a new buyer of four weapons recently. I don’t want to sound like an idiot, but I also find it a little more confusing than just going to Palmetto State or even other sites here in Georgia. So I guess my two questions are where can I go to just search for what I’m searching for or just to scroll? Are there multiple places like the classifieds and other places? And the next thing is how do I tell someone I’m interested in their product if I can’t respond to them on the site? Are there Emails I guess attached to their profile?

As far as searching there is a search bar on the top right of your screen.

Got to Trading Post. Narrow it further by choosing a category. Say Firearms and Accessories. Narrowing further by a subcategory. Say Handguns. Then use search function to narrow further. Say “HK” or “SIG.”. DM seller to work out a deal, meeting place and time. And welcome to the site.

For instance, if you wanted to see ads listed for handguns for sale you would click on Firearms & Accessories > Handguns. If you wanted a semi-automatic action then you would click on the button icon labeled for that. This would limit your search results to that category of pistols. If you wanted a 9mm caliber then you would select that option under the field labeled Caliber. If you wanted to limit the results further to maybe 100 miles from your location then under Location you would enter 100 in the "M" field and your zip code in the "From address" field. Lastly, you would click on the red colored Filter button to filter your results down to your stated parameters. The search results would be shown below and may be one or more pages. If you didn't get what you where looking for or if no results were found then try removing one entry at a time from those that you entered, click on Filter, and try again. Thank you for such a detailed response. I did play around with the site today and actually learned exactly what you told me. For instance I was looking for Canik TTI elite or really any Canik. So then I put in SC (subcompact) and discovered it worked. Lastly, I got an email earlier from someone saying that I should contact the seller directly instead of posting on the wall and I cannot figure out where I find the sellers actual email anywhere so that’s the only thing I have left to discover really. Click on the sellers screen name and a drop down box will pop up and click on send message. Then you will go to the pm page and you have a subject line and a main body for your questions or to send whatever you want.
