This one should be good. I can not pick one over the other as I have love for both. BUT my main carry gun is a semi, but my only revolver is a 6inch S&W 44 mag it would be kinda hard to carry concealed.

.357 Revolver to make it go boom consistently and if you're thinking of one or two shot defensive situations. Auto if you think you'll need to shoot a lot...for more distance type shooting or maybe multiple assailants things...thinking compact Glocks, etc. when I make that statement - not 7 shot .380s. Just my opinion, but that's how I place them in my head.

I think wheel guns are undeniably more dependable. That said, modern semi-autos are almost as dependable and have a higher capcity. I no longer own any revolvers but they have earned their place in my heart. My next will probably be a western styled 45 LC and possibly a lightweight 357.

I think they both serve their purposes well. I prefer semi auto b/c that is what I am more comfortable with and have a lot more range time with. Of course when considering a semi auto for carry, put in some range time and choose reliability and comfort over the price tag. Not downing Hipoints, etc...(I have owned one and great guns...just not my first choice of carry.

I have semi-autos but my first choice is always a S&W revolver. Oh and by semi-autos I mean 1911s. I just can't get into the plastic guns. They are great guns I just don't like the way they feel in my hands.
