Let's say that somehow a gun ban was passed and the govt. decided to seize all civilian owned guns.
Of course they'd try to get the military to intervene and go from house to house taking weapons, similar to what they did during Katrina, but do you really think it would be remotely successful?
What happens when news starts hitting the public media of soldiers getting shot by american civilians when trying to *forcefully* strip the civilians of their guns?
I'm sure tons and tons of civilians would give their guns up willingly, but I can also assure you there are many that would fight for their rights. If soldiers began being shot by their own countrymen, I doubt they'd continue to follow govt. orders.

Nope. Wrong read on this. When that starts happening they will use it as proof that gun owners are crazy and dangerous. Then they'll use it as an excuse to redouble their efforts to take guns (all of them) and give the military permission to use deadly force if they are resisted.

Exactly. They see this as their one shot to disarm the populace, they are going to hit it full bore. That being said, they are smart enough to make sure they sneak the minor details like "mandatory buyback" in there. There will also be 2200 pages of **** and another 4 billion dollars in grants to study how pigmy sucker billed beach monkeys masturbate and **** like that.

I want them to put out REAL numbers about how much it would cost to create, and enforce another gun ban. Numbers should include the jobs lost in the firearms industry, the amount of new ATF agents hired to enforce the bull****, etc. See how fast people stop screaming when they see it would make the economy even worse. Plus, people need to look at crime stats in countries with ban bans. The crime rate in those places is horrendous.

Feinstein is the most rabid anti-gunner of them all.

The fact that she is actually being allowed to write this legislation speaks volumes about what we are up against. That woman has always been a stark-raving communist loon.

The whole ides of a gun "buyback" just makes me ill. "Buy back?" How the hell do you buy something "back" which you never owned in the first place? I know I never bought a single gun from the govt. How the hell can they "buy" anything I own "back?"

-I see serious civil unrest problems if something like this "buyback" occurs.

You underestimate Feinstein.

She is extremely powerful. Probably one of the top 5 in the senate. She has been at this a loooong time.
