serious question-baseball sucks and so does sports

I reckon my best answer is, I grew up playing sports and watching with my dad, so I just kept on keeping on. He did stop with MLB on their first strike in the 80’s and he was pretty much done with NFL after their first strike as well. I’ve never watched much MLB, until October when it’s the playoffs.
i can get playing it and being involved; its the watching i didnt understand. im not much of a spectator i guess though, so personality plays a big part i figure but that part is understandable. ok cool

Here is a big trivia question. Where exactly was the "Atlanta Cracker's" stadium located back in the day? A very specific answer...

That was way before my time man, but I believe I’ve read Ponce de Leon Park?
Well, yes...but the internet spoils everything nowadays. It WAS on Ponce De Leon Avenue DIRECTLY across from the later multi-story building that was SEARS. It later was sold off and it is the location in which I was inducted in1968...

When I was a kid I played Baseball, football and basketball on organized teams. I sucked at basketball, was decent at football and was very good at baseball. As I entered my teen years I lost interest. I started playing guitar at that point and music has been my life since.

But back to the op....I agree. I don’t quite see the widespread allure of sports. People act like they have some sort of stake in the game....

And I can’t stand when people post highlights on Facebook. You know, like. “TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS!!!!”

Anyone that gives a crap is already watching.

I watched baseball up until the strike in ‘81 and haven’t watched since. But, too, the players were real men(most) that you could relate too. The likes of Gene Garber, Mad Hungarian, Phil Niekro . Not Hollywood pu**ies paid millions in the games now.

Never been much of a pro sports fan. I used to like going to ball games at Wrigley field in the 60s and 70s, that was a lot of fun and before the spoiled children ruined the game. I used to listen to the Braves games on the radio at work or at home doing chores. When Chipper Jones and Bobby Cox retired the team went down the crapper and I lost interest. Doubtful I'll ever go to or watch a baseball game again due to the wokeness infection.
