I am sure we can agree that joining to military a noble undertaking.. I myself come from a long line of military men..

My question is in this day and age with the current commander and chief how would you feel about one of your children joining a branch of the service?

I'd say yes.
The CINC will come and go. The career, professional military men that I know are about as reliable, and educated as they come.
And I don't know a one of them that supports the current admin. My fear is the kids that are raised right and with convictions stop joining our military - then what are we left with?

I would have very serious concerns-given the way the CIC views the constitution and our military.

The man thinks he is some kind of king. I personally wouldn't serve under him. Back when I was young enough, Clinton was president. I chose not to serve under that one either. (But Barry is clearly worse than Clinton.)

Of course, I am not a parent-so I feel for you. Tough spot to be in.

We volunteered. I'm glad I did it. Overall, it was a very positive experience. That was pre-Clinton era pussification of our military. There has also been a big push to include the women in more combat type situations. WRONG! With all that being said, I still believe our youth could gain something from it. LET ME ALSO SAY, I'M NOT HAPPY WITH THE AMERICAN BLOOD THAT HAS BEEN SPILLED IN DISTANT LANDS FOR PEOPLE THAT DON'T WANT US THERE, AND WON'T CHANGE THEIR WAY OF LIFE. They've been fighting since the beginning of time. Intervention is a waste of our time.:usa2:
