Sets up fake gun store and shames buyers...

Ahh, ignorance is bliss. But hey, what else can we expect from NYC?

EDIT: anyone notice comments are disabled for the video? Funny, they don't want people calling them out on their BS because ya know...liberals love opposition.

Well, there's a kernel of truth in their message.
Plenty of innocent people are killed with guns that they, or somebody in their family, bought "for protection."
Guns are used for bad purposes. 20,000 or 30,000 or whatever (it's a huge number) times a year.
All of those guns were, at some point in the past, clean and new and proudly displayed at a gun store or pawn shop or sporting goods store, just waiting for buyers to take 'em home.

OH, and there are real gun stores in NYC. A couple of them.
I've been to John Jovino's shop in Little Italy, lower Manhattan.

But thanks to anti-gun laws in the City, and New York State's crazy handgun-permit law that demands you get your carry license FIRST, before you even pick up a handgun, people can't just walk in off the street and handle actual handguns.

they disabled the comments on the video for some reason, maybe a counter argument might some up and they would be unable to respond

Oh course they did as it would be counter productive to have the majority of responses negative. It is propaganda focused at a naïve audience.

They articulate like a "Bounty" commercial more, bigger, etc. but ignore that armed victims live longer, suffer less injuries and save innocent bystanders. Armed citizens shoot more criminals and less innocent bystanders than our police.

These gun prohibitionist will become, are becoming desperate as huge losses in attempting to prevent gun possession, public carry and gun free zones are the far majority of the trend of restoring rights. This scares the crap out of them and they need every little win they can muster even if it takes 3 times the money to make it so. But money isn't often the issue when rights are concerned. They are quickly finding that out.

These were all replica guns... for what it's worth, here's the NYC Administrative Code section on those:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. It shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sell, possess or use or attempt to use or give away, any toy or imitation firearm which substantially duplicates or can reasonably be perceived to be an actual firearm unless:

(a) the entire exterior surface of such toy or imitation firearm is colored white, bright red, bright orange, bright yellow, bright green, bright blue, bright pink or bright purple, either singly or as the predominant color in combination with other colors in any pattern; or
(b) such toy or imitation firearm is constructed entirely of transparent or translucent materials which permits unmistakable observation of the imitation or toy firearm’s complete contents; and
(c) the barrel of such toy or imitation firearm, other than the barrel of any such toy or imitation firearm that is a water gun, is closed with the same material of which the toy or imitation firearm is made for a distance of not less than one-half inch from the front end of said barrel, and;
(d) such toy or imitation firearm has legibly stamped thereon, the name of the manufacturer or some trade name, mark or brand by which the manufacturer can be readily identified; and
(e) such toy or imitation or firearm does not have attached thereto a laser pointer, as defined in paragraph one of subdivision a of section 10-134.2 of this code.
