Looking for some info on a pistol that was in my Dad's things. I think it's an original Sharp's, but I also know there were reproductions made of this gun.

I also know my grandfather "acquired" this gun off a suspect when he has a volunteer Union City policeman. I can't find info online about when the UCPD was formed to date that, but I'm going to guess 50's?

Obviously it's been nickeled if it's original. But any info would be appreciated.

I'd say reproduction but I'm not an expert....the screws are probably the best way to tell...if the look machined then pretty sure a reproduction and the serial number also...if the original version was serialized it probably had a letter at the end and the only others I've seen have different grip style...but still worth $300

Nice. Thanks for the info. I'll never get rid of it regardless of value. Too much family history.
