It's plenty ignoring,and they make nice protection that is small and light and you can't tell you have anything on

if you have a child shooting id put hearing protection on em no matter what caliber, you don't want to damage their ears or scare them away from guns due the noise

truth said, I wear earpro, loud noises hurt my ears. After may years of loud noises I always wear earpro

Hearing damage is cumulative; it does not heal and only compounds. That being said you will not notice the damage from hunting nor is it safe to hunt with hearing protection. Awareness of the surroundings is every thing.

I use noise canceling hearing protections they amplify normal sounds and cutout loud noises.
