Just listened to the Sheriff's briefing....perp had on body armor, was wearing a gas mask and was lobbing CS grenades and smoke grenades. He also had frag grenades attached to his chest and had redundant CS, smoke, and frag grenades in the van along with "explosive devices" and water and supplies. Firefight lasted in excess of 3 minutes.

I know I give him grief for the expression but if I may biker, damn. Just damn.

Homeboy was there to do damage...that deputy deserves a medal.

From what I understand it was one of their SWAT guys on duty at the court house that took him down. Ear-holed him with his AR.
