Shooting Grounds

Looking for decent shooting areas around the Newnan Coweta Area, within an hour would suffice that are either responsibly priced or free. Currently me and my shooting buddies drive down to West point to the WPA Range there, but we would like to find a place that would allow for more shooting drills, and move and shoot reaction drill we can't and won't practice on a public range with other people there.

Any help is appreciated.

I am in Newnan also, and if a plan could be formulated, to allow folks to shoot/practice, then I would be in for it.

Pay a fee, just like a hunting club, and allow only members to shoot. DO NOT form a business, due to insurance and tax problems, just a club, on private property.

Count me in if there is a way to make it happen.

Instruction? Yeah, if you want to learn to shoot, basic marksmanship to combat shooting we can help. Between the guys I usually shot with we have three guys who are qualified instructors, one is an LE instructor, and another one who can demonstrate certain shooting techniques.

Count me and my two sons, both in their twenties, excellent shooters, disciplined, safe and respectful and we clean up after we are done. I don't like the long drive down to the WPA range and you really cant drill there. I'd be game for pooling together to invest in some good targets, reactive maybe, help with building a covered multi-bench area, whatever. But we could build a nice, safe, well screened club of like minded people. We may as well, if we get a decent group, but not too big, pool our resources and buy a few acres cash and start from there, you have a board and founding members, private club has begun.

there is a place in carrollton called little river gun club i dont have any info on it but it might be worth looking into i live close to it and i here them blasting alot over there

Paul is a great guy and does excellent work.

Theres a place by Big Lazer, near Thomaston. its a free outdoor range.
