Shooting steel targets

Was active military in the mid 90s, watching a seal team shoot. Their TL comes over and asks if I want a try. Rig up with a 45 and MP5. Shooting lane with with a seal safety and another shooter on my left. Initial targets were 6x9 inchnplates at 7 yards and 15 yards. Engage with MP5 then with 45. I'm on my first target with the 45 when I see the lane one guy moving down range engaging next set of targets, my safety says keep engaging yours then move.
Next set were more steel at close range the whole time I have a guy 20 ft in front of me as I'm moving and engaging targets. Closest steel was 10ft, all built 6x9 plates, angled on heavy duty stands.
It was an awesome range day, felt splatter from myself and the other shooter on the close targets.
Awesome stress shoot. Watched them all day and learned a lot.

Spent the weekend down at our hunting lease. My 13 year old daughter wanted to go so I left the big steel plates and brought a small .22 cal. metal spinner rack and paper targets. She had a blast and shot the paint off the spinners at 40 yards! A great weekend shooting and riding. I was a little hesitant to bring the steel targets for the first time with her there. I'll shoot them soon enough.

We shoot our steel with 9mm starting at 5 yards. In the video of my kid shooting earlier in this post he is at 7 yards, shooting MK25
