Shotgunz Vs. Clays, 10-19-2025

It was fun. My skills were rusty.
Weather was great.
Got to try the bolt action Marlin
in a game of trap.

I'm going to try again next Sunday the 9th.

Weather permitting. I've invited a couple people and some of them had conflicts in October and could not make it before
so I could use another attempt at skeet.

Did another round of skeet on 11/9.
A couple relatives & acquaintances joined me.

One of the guys brought his 20 something
year-old son, who did better than his old man!
I got to take a few shots with a 12 bore side-by-side. I believe that is the first SxS shotgun I have ever fired, and I certainly have never owned one, but they intrigue me, as they look old - school cool!

Love the SXS, got 3 of them, 28, 20, 12. The club i'm in we shoot a lot of SXS and it is usually a new game we play every week. Think the on I like the best is you call for the bird, break it and have to hit a piece of the broken clay.

I'm planning on meeting up with a couple of other gun folks that I chat with online to bust some clays at the Wolf Creek public shotgun range [Edited to add- Also known as the Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds] off of Merck Road near Camp Creek Parkway in Atlanta on the afternoon of Sunday, October 19.

Do any of youse guys wanna come out?
This is not a competition and I don't even own the right kind of over/under shotgun for these games. I've got one pump action and one semi auto and all I wanna do is bust more than half of the targets presented.

Bring whatever ya got!
But, the range does have a full pro shop and rental guns available.
Man just take the shotgun you shoot the best, you don't have to have a O/U to shoot clays. A buddy of mind shoots a Beretta 391 and is a world champion
