Should we change the name of 10mm to .40 Magnum because millimeters are damn commie units?

"At this time, only three countries—Burma, Liberia, and the US—have not adopted the International System of Units (SI, or metric system) as their official system of weights and measures." We should point out that even these three countries do use elements of the metric system.
Actually, the US has used SI since the 70's. It's federal law that all federal measures must be SI. It's still in effect, as far as I know.
Doesn't seem to be followed too much.

OK, now that we have got the names straight as to how they will be used what say we now change the actual names of calibers like 38 Spl, 38 Super, 44 spl, 44 magnum, and others to actual diameters and not well sounding calibers that do not represent true measurements.
maybe we can name a few after civil rights icons in the process, you know just so we are politically correct and such.
how does the ".357 John Lewis" sound instead of the 38 Special?
or the ".355 Jesse Jackson" instead of the 38 Super?

There are two types of countries in the world:
1. Those that use the metric system.
2. Those that have put a man on the moon.
