In Douglasville! Back story: I came into possession of a Sig 365XL that had salt water damage, both mags were pretty rough….I managed to get the 10 round mag cleaned up enough for function, but the 15 round mag was beyond repair. I did an internet search for a correct 15 rounder with near zero results. Remembering that Gables has a pretty nice Sig isle, I went there looking for the mag. After about 10 minutes of looking through their mag selection, I went to the counter and asked for help. The man at the counter jumped in with both feet, he went through the display mags, and said, let me go downstairs and look. When he came back up he had an idea, we can try the 365X Macro mag. It was a 17 rounder mag that would hang out the bottom more than the 15 rounder does. When we opened the mag at the counter, with another counter man saying he thought the correct filler/spacer might be in there……and it was. He went ahead and installed it on the new mag, and even went and got a one of their 365s to make sure it would fit right. It did. Now I have never owned a 365, and knew nothing about them, I was very impressed with the willingness to help, and the knowledge of the Gables employees. I left there grinning from ear to ear and satisfied that I got to keep the money local. I feel these two guys went over and above to make this turn out good. I had Para13ellum strip and ceracote the slide, and I stripped the frame and cleaned it at up, even re “ blacked” all the internal part’s that needed coating. The pistol looks brand new now…
