You jump into European, you're going to spend money. I've been learning first hand for the last five yearsI am, it's an ongoing process...lol....It is probably going to be a Miata...as they say Miata is always the answer. I've ruled out a BMW, I like the classics but I don't particularly care to work on them these days.
The Miata seems to have a pretty good support network of specialty shops around the area as well, which is always a help.
Fiats roadsters also are interesting especially in the cost department.
I haven't completely ruled out Porsche, and they seem to have a pretty good support network as well. I just haven't decided if I am ready to stomach Porsche maintenance and parts costs.
It has been a number of years since I have been able to consider a car just for fun...so I am going to take my time and keep an eye out.
