Sig sauer website only has .40, but with a barrel change and spring change and may have to do a sight adjustment you can have one.
Im not talking about a conversion, I mean bought one in 9mm-well its on lay-away at the local shop. It was kind of a impulse, I wanted the 226 but I know I never seen a equinox elite so I got that one. So now when I pick it up- I may have to put it out there to see what I can get for it.

Does it have the Sig Custom Shop logo on it? I think thats where they come from in 9mm equinox elite. I saw one maybe 2 years ago. Sweet looking guns

Went and made another payment and fondled the gun for a few mintues...it doesnt have the Sig Custom Shop logo on it- but its in a beaver tail frame with matching serial numbers. I thought only the elites have that frame. Anyway I called Sig with the sn, and they told me its a equinox 9mm but no mention of the elite name. I will picking it up in another week or so and post pics!!

Sounds like you have what sig calls a special configuration. Basically when sig has parts left over from a contract run they'll use them to make "special configuration" pistols. Sometimes the special configuration pistols have beavertail frames other times they'll have the slide with forward serrations.

All the 9mm equinox's I've seen have had the beavertail and forward serrations but sig doesn't call them elites. To answer your original question, they aren't very common but don't command higher prices like the limited editions do for whatever reason. Seen a few come up on other gunsites, IIRC they went for around 1,100.

Cool find post up pics when you get it.
