I saw Cherokee has a pretty good deal on these right now. I was wondering who has one and what do you think. I'm thinking about one for my 17 yr old for Christmas. Thanks for your time

I had one and really didn't care for the long and hard trigger pull.
If I'm gonna have a little bullet, then I want to be able to hit a little target.
To me the Browning Buckmark, slab sided barrel is the best 22 pistol for the money.

Browning buckmark, I had a Mosquito and didn't care for it, it did jam like crazy, now I have 3 brownings. The new smith and a ruger are second choices

I have 3 also, I had 5, but my Nephews thought they just had to have one each.

Wife loves hers well over 3k rounds down the pipe with no issues .......a little cumbersome to take down and clean but other than that great little gun

I have the target model Mosquito and really like it. It is like a 7/8 size P226......so I can train cheap. Heard about the jam issues but never had any problems with mine. I shoot CCI ammo so maybe that is the difference? Also have a few Rugers and have shot the Buckmark. Any of these pistols would be a good beginner pistol, although I always prefer to start people out with revolvers. Look for a Ruger Single Six. Great beginner gun and I love just plinking with them.
