I've been using the Sight Mark red dot for a couple of years now, not the junk model, the version that's closer to an Eotech. I like it, but I'm thinking of adding the magnifier. Has anyone used the magnifier? I'm wondering on quality, durability, etc.

Sight mark Magnifier?

If you're talking about the sight that has the small extrusion covering the reticle switch, then I've heard many post a single certain negative consequence of adding a magnifier to that sight. That negative aspect was that there was no room for backup iron sights (i.e. flip up sights). I've been considering doing the same to my sight.
I haven't picked up the magnifier yet, but with the reddot, and the magpul rear sight, it's already a little tight, def no room for the magnifier. I'm thinking about either getting a quad rail that has a top rail that lines up with the top of the receiver, and pushing the red dot to the quad, or swapping out the entire upper for a monolithic upper. The second option would have to wait awhile.
