Since everybody is drinking the glock koolaid.... heckler and koch anybody?

Nothing wrong with that at all. Not trying to turn this in to a brand war, just want to know what pistols people prefer and why. I just don't perform as well with striker fired pistols as I do with sa/da pistols. Hk can hate me all day, I don't care. They make a fine product and I get fine results out of them.

Yeah I'm not bashing or trolling. People like what they like, I just don't care for HK for some reason.

I think it's funny how people will bash a brand just because they are fan boys but if you just do some youtubing you can find hundreds of stress tests for just about every firearm there is and they all pretty much function the same. If HK's were as ****ty as some people say they are they wouldn't be in business and would sell for $100 like Jennings do on here.

Exactly. Many people hate hk just because they can't afford them. I've seen that a number of times. You hear things like "they are not worth what they cost" " cheaper guns do the same thing" . Ugh no.

Carry this every day. Would much rather have an HK sling shot than a Glock!!

I LOVED my Chantilly P7M8. It was EDC and I carried during an entire 7 hour wedding shoot and could forget it was there. But it was so mint, I loathed the thought I might scratch the slide or put holster wear on it. SO, I traded it towards my P30 and a pile of cash.

Never shot an HK. They certainly seem like cool guns, especially that little P7. They are rather ugly, IMO - more so than Glocks. You gotta admit though, Glocks are popular for good reason. If you can get over yourself about the polymer, they have the makings of a high-end gun with a very reasonable price tag. And with well-regarded customer service and Smyrna being so close, it's hard not to drink the kool-aid- it's so sweet and tasty. The OD/FDE kool-aid, OTOH, now that's a different story. Please don't mix olives or earth in my kool-aid!

I've never shot a P7, but they definitely intrigue me. The squeeze-cocking function seems like such a great idea that I wonder why they aren't still made?

I truly love them both. 2 years ago I never owned an HK. Now I own two. Glock is an awesome deal for me. Magazines for Glocks are like light beer in a can and typically work despite the misgivings of their owners.

But the Glock 34/35 and 17L or .40 long slide, whatever number it is, are not in the same class as the HK Expert. The Expert is about as close as you can come to a factory polymer bulls eye gun, which most think is an impossible dream. Glock doesn't make a P7, no one does or probably will ever make another just too expensive to manufacture.

Both are about as tough and reliable as a pistol can be. Both are combat accurate with the HK being a bit or a lot more accurate depending on models. Both are too thick (or heavy-P7) for me to carry IWB. I shoot both well with HK getting smaller groups but both group effectively.

I carry a Kahr 9mm due to slide thickness and the night stand a Glock 22 rest with a night time set-up. If the crib gets broken into by the home chickens when I'm gone then a missing Glock 22 is easier to bear than an HK USP-Expert being taken.

I wanna like HK, I really do. I liked almost everything about The two USP's I owned. (45 tactical, and 40 full size) love the grip, loved the look, like the ergonomics, great quality. Just couldn't get past the trigger. Worst I've ever shot in a handgun. Bought the 45 tactical cause it was supposed to have a "match" trigger. Nope, still couldn't shoot it accurately for nothing.
