I switched from the 9mm Shield that I carried for two years to the 45 Shield because I wanted a little more aggressive frame texture and didn't want to stipple mine. Recoil is subjective but I love the way the Shield 45 shoots. I literally laughed after the first mag I put through it because it was so much smoother and more manageable than I expected. The trigger is a little better in the 45 than my 9 was as well. Great guns especially for the price.

You can buy two Shield 45 for the price of one Glock 30. Crazy.
Bobbys Gun and Ammo down here in Brewton have the 9mm and .40 Shield for $339.99. With the $75 internet rebate that brings the cost down into the $265 range. They ship for an additional $20 shipping. The .45 is $399.99. This is the cheapest store I have seen yet.
Yeah, i would be curious how they compare in shooting...i had an xds 45. Its a handful.

PSA has them for $245 after rebate, w/free shipping, but they charge GA sales tax.
