Skeet - what's a quality gun for Skeet Shooting?

You can't go wrong with the Remington 1100. Very versatile weapon as well. That would be my first choice for the money.

I have always used an 1100 with IC or skeet choke. My dad shoots competitively and uses a browning O/U. Most of the guys dad shoots with use O/U's. Browning, Beretta seem to be the most common. Red Labels are great for the money.

There are many good choices. I just want to add one thing. If you are just shooting skeet, either an autoloader or an O/U will be perfectly fine. However if you are going to also shoot trap, then you will want an O/U. Unless you use a shell catcher attached to the side of the gun, an autoloader will eject the shells at the shooters standing next to you and this is definitely frowned upon by your fellow trap shooters. Just something to consider.

THIS! In the last 40+ years, more Trophies have been won at Trap & Skeet with Remington 1100's than any other gun--And there is a REASON for that--The 1100 "Soaks Up" RECOIL like nothing else... ....mikey357
