SKS prices??? Inflation??

bought mine for $120; Have been tempted to let it go a few times since the price went so high...

Yea I thought SKS was supposed to be a cheap fun gun. I saw one on here this morning for $350 and there was nothing special about it, just a run of the mill SKS

Looks like the upper wood handguard had been replaced too, didn't match the rest of the wood. I bought the same gun (Yugo) with all the wood, and a black plastic stock for $275 about 4 months ago.

Maybe its because so many are being molested and turned into bubba guns. All the originals are getting harder to find?

i think this is a lot of it. the original, all matching with bayo guns are harder to find so someone wanting a collector model has to pay more

the other side is there is so much tacticool crap out there that people are putting on these and when they sell they try to get it all back.
if i want a gun that looks like an ak, i'll buy an ak
but i would like to find a complete all matching piece for a decent price...but not paying 300-400 for one

You said it, CRAP! They weren't designed for all that crap and they look like crap when all that crap is added to them. People, stop taking a crap on the SKS!!!

Yeah, I paid $300 for a like new Norinco because I just wanted one. It's outrageous. I kept it all original because I agree 100% that Tapco-SKSes look like garbage.

i suppose a few of them sell at that. the vast majority i see are posted over, and over and over again when priced @ $300 or more. Listing something for a certain price is not equal to selling it for that price.

The guys that are like "look at what they cost on gunbroker" always make me laugh because it is that same phenomena. Sure there are plenty of hi-points and jennings listed at $300. Did they sell? No.

Another part of the problem is the people who keep sending lowball offers. Makes people list their items higher in hopes of getting a reasonable offer....
