It's a damn shame when you have to post a WTB ad for an SKS. Where did they all go? Seriously, they used to come in container ship loads. I'd love to have another one ( at a reasonable price.).

There are quite a few for sale. The problem is they're all covered in plastic crapco stocks at more cost than a unmolested original.
Cheap and nice are 2 different things....

Agreed. That looks like a Monte Carlo stock and it looks nice and you are asking a reasonable price. I have a Russian SKS in a Monte Carlo stock. I was referring to the Tapco tacticool plastic. I see a lot of those for sale at twice what you're asking for yours.

Yeah I can't think of anything quite as ugly as an SKS with a side folder or worse yet a Tapco plastic retractable stock. Quit trying to make it what it wasn't meant to be.
I'll promise you this. If I ever get my hands on another SKS or Type 53 I'm gonna engrave my name and birthday right into the metal in big ugly letters so that nobody else will want them. That way I'll have to keep them forever.
