Sleep

The older I’ve gotten, the weirder my sleep patterns have gotten.
Now I nap for an hour or so in the afternoon, stay up ‘til midnight, sleep ‘til 7-8 am.
Just wait ‘til your prostate starts growing and you have to pee 2-3 times a night.
 
Guys he didn't say he is taking naps throughout the day, he was saying that at night it is LIKE a series of naps.

In a couple of weeks I'll be 63 years old. I've noticed in the last couple years I don't sleep as much as I used to. It's more a series of naps.
I know some very successful people that function on 4 hours of sleep.
Everything that I have read says that we need at least 7 hours of sleep.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a good night sleep and be able to sleep straight through 7 hours like I used to in the good old days?
I haven't slept more than a couple hours at a time since I was a kid. You'll survive. ;)

Seriously though:
Aegis Aegis made some good suggestions. Exercise helps too, just don't do it too late or it can leave you wound up.
 
Yeah I got a couple of tips
The room needs to be as cold as you can stand it
The room needs to be 100% dark, not a single shed of light or electronics lighting up the room
Remove the tv from your room
Exercise everyday
Wear a sleeping mask
Don’t drink any liquids after 6PM to prevent you from getting up in the middle of the night
Make sure you have a good enough mattress And it doesn’t need replacing
No more napping during the day
