ROFL!! That's just wrong.
Except for the female I served with guys that were just like those characters in that movie. A friend who is still active duty, had a nickname of "Echo 5". A trident submarine has 4 fire hoses in the engine room Echo 1 thru Echo 4. He was Echo 5 for a reason. He got great laughs by showing new junior officers his helicopter. Submariners are a different breed! Great bunch of guys.
Greeat movie. Funny as hell. I've always been a fan of Kelsey Grammer.
Back in 1980 or so when I took the ASVAB, the Navy recruiter offered me NUPOC(Nuclear Power Officer Candidate). But I chose to go a different route and ENLIST in the army...Guess I wasn't ALL that smart after all. LOL! Still, being stuck in a tin can under water with a buncha guys for all that time? Nah. I'm not ALL that claustrophobic but no sense pushing it.
