Received from a retired friend and since he's going through some money issues at the moment, I would like to sell and donate the money to him and his wife. Honestly, I don't know much about this model or what it's worth. I'm more of a Glock person and this was given to me as a gift. He had it in his family for a while so I'm still debating weather to sell or not. Can anyone provide me with info on this model?

I have a 66-2 from the early 1980's.

They're great revolvers.

I suggest that you give the guy $500 and tell him that he can buy the revolver back from you whenever he gets back on his feet financially. Up to the next 2 years.

If he never does, keep the revolver and consider that you got it at a pretty good price, because it's probably worth more like $600 . Or sell it after a few years, which gives the dude plenty of time to get it back and keep it in his family for sentimental reasons.

If he DOES find the $500 in the near future and buys it back from you, you've helped your friend by giving him a loan, holding onto this fine gun as collateral.
