Mike at Mike's Gun Room in winder showed me a Model 45 no dash in mint, possibly unfired condition. Very cool gun. I'm not a revolver guy but from what he said it's a rare gun. The story was that the Post Office used the model 45-x for training and after the post office stopped buying them had some leftover parts and made these with no dash for sale to the public. Not sure if this is actually true or not. It was a cool gun nonetheless. I thought if anyone was looking for one they might appreciate hearing about it.
