Smith & Wesson .40cal ?

i have a friend who has a Smith & Wesson .40cal. she wants to know what its worth i tried to look it up but cant find it.. the only number it has on it is 4008. i think thats the mod. number not sure.. but can anyone help me out with this.. her ex old man bought the gun for her but she thinks she is wanting a smaller gun.. can you guys help me find what the gun is worth?

Sure its not a 4006?

Edit: if this is it, check GunBroker for prices. Depending on the age, condition, and whether it was a LEO trade in, they usually go for around $350-$450.

i know she said it was brand new when she got it..but you might be right it might have been a 4006.. lol

My wife frequently see an eight when it is really a three. Smith M4003 is a .40 as well. Looks like the M4006 pic.
