Smith & Wesson 617 SS .22 LR No Lock revolver

That's odd. I have both 6-shot and 10-shot models and they both feel exactly the same. Maybe somebody "worked" on yours and didn't do a real good job.

Lexm41 has a good point--Since the Cylinder on a Ten-shooter doesn't ROTATE AS FAR with each pull of the Trigger--In Double Action Mode, 36° vs.60° for the Six-shooter--The Cylinder "Locks Up" noticeably earlier than that of a "Traditional" Six-shooter...At least, it's noticeable if you shoot much DA... :)

Speaking of Lexm41--Whatcha' want for that Four-inch 617??? :) :) :)

Thanks Mikey nice to hear that another member knows what I mean.
Not interested in selling the 617.

Oh, yeah, the difference is VERY NOTICEABLE to me--Heck, I THINK I can tell the difference in "Feel" between a Six-shot Model 27 & an Eight-shot 627--Could all be "Between The Ears", too, I guess... :)

I can not find or afford any of said 617's so I will continue to drool at @TommyT awesome off brand 9 shot. That way I can continue to use my H&R speed loaders too. LOL

Hey all, I didn't mean to imply that the gun didn't "feel" different. Of course it will be different because of the different level of torque with each cylinder movement. I just meant that the overall quality of the action (albeit, the movement) should feel the same.

Capiche?
