Yes, read that and sad to see them close. I have eaten there for a few decades. Best BBQ in the area in my humble opinion.

Smokehouse BBQ and Catering at 3205 Atlanta Highway in Oakwood shut their doors for good on Saturday, Dec. 28, according to an employee.

Big D’s bbq in Cumming (and a few other spots I think) recently closed. My guess is the costs of business vs what people are willing to pay these days is finally catching up with some of these places. Good Bbq ain’t cheap, and cheap Bbq ain’t good.

Yeah, agreed. Although not the best bbq around, Jim and Nick’s moved from Cobb pkwy Acworth to a much lesser cost location in Seven Hills in Dallas. At least that’s my guess. They just up and moved.
