The last one I found in the yard was killed with a hoe. Less noise for the neighbors to complain about, lol.
One shot, they don't know where it came from. Unless you're out there visibly messing with a dead snake
Nope, not me. I'll relocate them alright.....
I just have a spare mag loaded with 9mm CCI shot shells # 12 shot on me.
I think even whippersnappers are old now...🤔
Out in the woods I tend to leave them be.
Around the house/property I will eradicate them with extreme prejudice.
My dad's place years ago was one of the worst places I have ever seen for copperheads.
Sometimes a location is just too good for snakes...food supply, great cover from predators and you may wind up with a colony/nest.
Ever since then I make sure they don't overpopulate around the house.
I'm not afraid of snakes but having to shake one out of your shoe gives you an entirely new perspective.
